Placings 1st – 10th, awards will consist of paper ribbons. Certificates and chocolate (yum!) to champions/reserves and grands/reserves. I’m going to try to upgrade prizes, and we hope to have additional special awards, especially for grands/reserves. Full results will be emailed to all. Or bring SASE to the show for results.

Entry fee: $20/person for entering one division; an additional $5 for each extra division entered – hey, it’s a benefit! But you can save $5 by volunteering to judge a division. Proceeds from this show go to the MAR 2006 Awards fund. Check/MO should be sent, and made payable to Susan Hurst. Money received after 5/28/05 must be made by Money Order. Proxy fees: $2/foal. Proxy means that you send your foals with someone else, and do NOT attend in person.

Entries are limited due to space (we can fit in approximately 12-15 people). You will be assigned a space for your models of no more than 12" x 24". You may have space on a kitchen counter, on a bookshelf, table or similar area. No more than 35 models per person. Limit of six models per person per class. You are encouraged to bring a towel, sheet, or something soft to lay your models on. If you can bring your own card table, that would help out tremendously. Weather permitting, we can have the show on the patio/in the yard.

Tags: Each entrant will provide a business card size piece of paper to be placed with their models when they are put in the ring to be judged. Please print neatly your initials and model’s name on one side, and the model’s breed and gender on the other. Since this show is double judged, you will need TWO cards PER CLASS… The judge will collect the cards for the models they place, noting the placing on the card, and stapling all cards together for each class. Also, please have a tag attached to your model.

Judging: Anyone want to judge? Take $5 off your entry fee if you judge a division. We’d love to double judge this event, and need to know immediately, so NAMHSA can be notified so the proper number of cards can be sent. Also, due to space limitations, it is highly likely that we will be judging only two divisions at a time, rather than all four. Plan your day accordingly – chances are we could run till 5pm or so.

Food: Some breakfast munchies will be available. For lunch, some suitable summer main course will be provided (not sure if I can convince Rob to stick around and grill burgers and hot dogs, but I’ll try!). Please bring your own beverage, and something that goes with the main dish (i.e., grated cheese, cornbread, chips, sour cream, salad, dressing, dessert). Let Susan know what you will be bringing so we may avoid duplication.

Meet The Hound! Since the last time I had this show in December, Rob and I have adopted Josie the beagle! She’s very friendly and fairly laid back, and she is likely to be "contained" somewhere so she doesn’t sneak out a door or gate with all our comings and goings. But I thought I’d let everyone know, just in case anyone had allergy or other concerns.

The Fine Print: Susan, Betsy, judges and the show committee may not be held responsible for any lost, broken or missing property, or injury to any participants. Enter and bring yourself and your models at your own risk. Entry into the show means you accept this.
