| All saddles are currently stamped on the underside of the saddle with my saddlery stamp, with english type saddles having a sequential number (some very early dressage ones may have escaped numbering, race saddles are stamped but not numbered). English saddles also have a stamped billet guard on the right side. Only a few western saddles have been created since I started using miniature stamps, they don’t have a number but are stamped and dated. An exception is a western type endurance saddle: I made 3 in 2003, one of which I still own. An endurance set created for the NAN 2006 auction was stamped but not numbered, as it had many very unique features on it and was not part of that original “series”. |
